PictureWashing the feet ceremony during IHR April 13, 2014.

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Last weekend I made ready mixed-soup for breakfast. All the ingredients were already available in the pan, and yet, according to the instruction, I still have to stir them in boiled water before the soup was ready to be served. I wondered what would happen if I did not stir it up?

That reminded me of Sr. Salve's talk during the IHR. Because of my daily routines, or maybe living in a comfort- zone, I became spiritually complacent and insensitive, and the Holy Spirit within gradually became unnoticed and dormant.

We had "Washing of the Feet" session. "One-on-One" open and honest conversations with a number of retreat participants, really triggered God's involvement and presence in me. Instantly, the Holy Spirit had been tremendously stirred-up and manifested during that session. It was really a humbling experience. As mentioned in Hebrews 10:24: "Let us consider one another, in order to stir up love and good works." My message therefore is: Let's be attentive to our respective communities, for our Spirit has been renewed. Or, in simple terms, the soup is now ready to be served.

It was a great honor for me to be chosen to play a role during "Washing of the Feet". Thanks to all of you, who had made it possible.

United in Christ,
Pius
